The Suzuki Method was developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. Dr. Suzuki believed all children can learn given the right environment. He observed that children learn their native language with ease and so he proposed to teach the language of music in the same way children learned to speak.

Therefore, in the Suzuki method we start children at a very young age with assistance from their parent or adult practice partner.  This parental nurturing is strengthened by the entire family listening to the Suzuki repertoire and other quality classical music.

The Suzuki Method, often referred to as the mother-tongue method, uses parent responsibility, listening, positive reinforcement, repetition, and group classes to help develop the whole child through music instruction.
